More about the Regiment

I have had a commemorative set of medals made up to keep the memory of the regiment alive and the memory of the service personal who served in Northern Ireland under Operation Banner alive as I personally feel that Operation Banner was never really classed as a war zone but classed as "Policing" and was never given the  publicity that say the "Afghanistan conflict" was given by the media.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

The Devonshire and Dorset's were a West Country Regiment until recently when the MOD in there wisdom decided that it should be made part of the Rifles as the future of the British Army and all other parts of the armed services are having changing roles in the larger picture of the armed services of the UK and future military aspects world wide.
